AMC Javelin AMX

The AMC Javelin AMX was first released by Hot Wheels in 2009. It is a Jun Imai design based on the second generation of AMC Javelins that were produced by American Motors Corporation between 1971 and 1974.

This is a 2009 model. It is a fairly accurate rendering of the original, down to the T striping on the hood.

The green one is also from 2009. The racing version is from the Racing 2012 Muscle series and it is a different casting.

There are noticeable differences between the two castings. The most obvious ones are side mirrors on the body and side exhaust pipes and a bumper spoiler on the base.

The AMX was the high-performance version of the AMC Javelin.
