[033] 5 Recommended PS Vita games for new PS Vita owners

Happy 8th birthday PS Vita! It was the 24th of February of 2012 when the US/EU version of the PS Vita was launched. Even though Sony has discontinued its support for the console, it is still worth your money when you buy this gaming console.

With regards to games, the PS Vita has a lot of love from the PS Vita indie developers. If you are still deciding which games to get for you PS Vita, these are my top recommended games that I totally enjoyed.

All games could be downloaded with a minimal fee at the PSN store.

1. Severed

Developed by an indie company from the same makers of the hit game Guacamelee!. This game is a first person dungeon crawler. I purchased my limited edition physical cart (which will cost more) of the game from Playasia.

2. Final Fantasy X HD Remastered

You will not go wrong with this game. This is a JRPG and the last in the series that has a turn based battle system. All FF series are all independent from each other so do not worry when this is your first game in the FF franchise.

Although my game comes with a free download of the FFX-2, I did NOT download it because I just don't like why Square-Enix made a sequel to FFX! It does not make sense why they made the sequel basing from the story of FFX (just for the money 😡).

3. Muramasa Rebirth

This is a hack and slash game. Unlike FFX wherein you can finish the game without maxing your characters HP, with this game, if you want to get the true ending, you need to grind! There are a total of 3 endings for this game.

4. Darkest Dungeon

Another well made indie game. This is like a combination of a dungeon crawler game and an element of RPG. This game is hard even the easy mode! Even though its hard, this game is sure enjoyable! I got my physical release (in English) with all the DLC from signature edition games.

If you want a digital release of this game, only the US region that has this game on its psn store. If your like me in which my psn region is Hongkong, you can only get the Physical edition.

Update:
Playasia also sells a physical copy of Darkest Dungeon. As the reviews says, you can change the default language (Janpanese) to the English language. I'm not sure though if this has the complete DLC.

5. No Heroes Allowed!

This is a free game downloadable at the PS Store. This is a fun puzzle 8bit game in which you will be playing the role of a villain! That's right, VILLAIN! This is very entertaining especially the dialogs. With the free version, you can play a total of 3x/day day with an 8 hour interval per play. You can purchase (at a cheap and reasonable price) 3 types of game playtime: 10x/day (HK18), 24x/day (HK 39), and the infinite play (HK 59).

You can use specific country PSN cards to load your PSN wallet (be sure to know your PSN registered region) or using your credit card. In the Philippines, the country is NOT included on the region selection (I used Hongkong). The Hongkong region will accept your local Philippines credit card to purchase PSN card. The minimum PSN card for Hongkong is HK50 (around PHP 330.00).
