Ok, I admit that this isn't a problem for the western half of the United States of America. What I'm going to say next is only relevant to the eastern half of the United States---The portion that's stricken by Hurricane Sandy. With non-stop rain since October 26, 2012 and strong wind for the second half of yesterday, it was decided to delay Halloween until November 1, 2012 (Which is this Thursday). New York state and New York City probably did the same by having Halloween delayed until November. It's difficult to do Halloween in October with Hurricane Sandy, strong seventy mile per hour wind and floods striking down New York City, New York; Atlantic City, New Jersey and other cities that's stricken by Hurricane Sandy. People are too busy running for their lives away from Hurricane Sandy to bother dressing up in costume and going trick and treating for candy. Even if Halloween is finally held in New York City, New York, there won't be much candy to give to trick or treaters since most of the stores and houses had their food supply ruined by flood water (Which carry toxic substances that I won't go into in this Internet blog. Just trust me that you won't want to eat any of it). So I guess the Eastern half of the United States based witches, goblins and other things that go bump in the night will have to wait until Thanksgiving month in order to hold a slightly delayed Halloween party, trick or treating and other holiday celebrations.
While I'm lost in thought about the falling rain, here are some photos of Chrissie Hynde---Lead singer of the rock band the Pretenders.
